Miss Brill

1. It is a retrospective narration.

2. Miss Brill's narration of the story is not very reliable.  She is clearly old and expiriencing some side effects from her age such as perhaps alseimers.  She thought of her life and the lives of those around as one big play. She, at the end of the story was upset and put her fox scarf away. As she put it in its box and under the bed, she thought she heard it crying as well. Because of this i am inclined to believe that the narrative is not completely reliable.

  1. Keep in mind the other dimensions of narration. Is the story told from a 1st person or 3rd person perspective? If 3rd, is there a reflector character?

Is the narration omniscient or limited? Is the the narration reliable or unreliable?
